A guardianship is a court-appointed responsibility in which The Bank of Herrin holds and manages assets on behalf of a ward. These duties include making regular reports to the court.

Duties of a guardian could include any or all of the following:

  • Medical insurance claims
  • Collecting Social Security payments
  • Preparing Tax returns
  • All financial matters relating to the estate of the ward

The Bank of Herrin can be appointed by the courts as guardian of the estate of a minor.

We can also act as guardian to the estate of a disabled adult who is no longer able to manage their financial matters.
